Chicago, IL, November, 2022: AM Sullivan Law today announced that it would be shutting its doors as partner, Ann Marie Sullivan, has joined forces with Senior IP Attorney, Alison K. Carter, to found Sullivan & Carter, LLP.

SCIP, as it is known, expands on AM Sullivan Law’s previous focus on trademark and copyright infringement litigation and anti-counterfeiting enforcement to provide services in additional areas of soft IP such as brand strategy, portfolio management, and licensing. AM Sullivan Law was one of the top filers of intellectual property infringement cases in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois for three years running, and SCIP plans on wasting no time picking up where AM Sullivan Law left off.

SCIP has quickly established itself as a competitive firm in the field by securing international clients and local creatives. The firm is also providing pro bono services for entrepreneurs who may not be able to afford trademark and copyright services.

Partner Alison K. Carter stated that she hopes “SCIP can fill a gap in the current IP market as many firms continue to use antiquated processes and don’t take the time to truly listen to their clients or prioritize clients’ goals."
